Hi!

(Spanish)         (Basque)         (Portuguese)

How are you? We hope you are great, sharing these special days with your family and friends.

We are very well, enjoying our son Akira, who just celebrated his first birthday few days ago.

The baby continues amazing us every day. At the beginning he was a "small thing", fragile and vulnerable, limited to cry when he was hungry or something was bothering him.

But he has grown rapidly, one day he smiles you, another day he babbles his first sounds, another one he takes your hand, another one he begins to crawl, another one he keeps standing alone, and now, he hold our hand for walking their first steps, ...

And almost without realizing it the "little thing" that barely interacted doubtfully has become the "pirate" impulsive who looks around searching for something to play.

Perhaps what mostly has impressed us is his hunger for learning. We love to observe him, he spends every minute of the day watching around, grabbing, crawling from one place to another, dragging something,... he is plenty of energy.

He communicates what he wants quite effectively; if he cannot reach the object of his attention, he points it saying something in his language and looks at us indicating to get him closer.

Now he knows exactly what he wants and what he doesn´t, his personality is slowly being defined,...

Besides taking care of Akira, we continues offering our audiovisual projections at town halls, schools,... it is our source of income and a way to share the experiences and learning we have acquired on our trips.

A few days ago we showed the audiovisual in Alicante, a Mediterranean Spanish city with a pleasant historical legacy. It has attracted Iberians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians (including General Amilcar Barca), Romans, several Arab caliphates, Castilians, Aragoneses and Valencians, to which Autonomous Community it belongs today. In its streets, besides its history and people, we enjoyed Mediterranean warmth and we could escape from Basque cold, where these days, back at home, has beaten with temperatures below freezing.

We continue enjoying our stay at home meeting good friends. Sua´s are great Cantabrians travelers. I met them in the Australian desert some years ago and we keep a beautiful relationship since then.

And of course, we always enjoy our family and the "cuadrilla”, the lifelong friends. In the picture you can see part of the group last summer dressed on our "blusa", the Basque typical dress of our city, Vitoria-Gasteiz.

We wish you MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Kind regards, Akira, Miyuki and Eneko!
